Importing Contacts

Contacts can be imported into your database using .xls, .xlsx, and .csv formats. Your data should be arranged in columns with the name of the field at the top of the column (i.e.  First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number, etc.).  It is necessary to split addresses into separate columns, one each for Address (street address), City, State and Zip Code. 
 
To import contacts select Import Contacts from the right hand side of the Contacts Tab screen.



By default, imported records will be added to the All Contacts group. If you have created additional groups, you may select to import contacts into these groups as well.  To import contacts into a second group, select the check box of the group you wish the imported contacts to be added to.



Then click the next button:


From the right hand side select to update duplicate records or not to update duplicate records. 
Any clients with the same email address would be considered "duplicates."



Next use the browse button to locate the file you wish to import on your local computer.



Then click the next button:


Map your fields:
Please select a label for each field from the drop-box on the left. You will find examples of your data for each field to the right. If you do not want to import certain data, select Skip this Column. Be sure to click through a few records to make sure the field labels accurately match your data. 



Make sure the check box is marked agreeing to our Terms of Use and Anti-Spam Policy.
 
Click on the import now button to begin the importing of your contacts.
